July!
Parades and Rehearsal Schedule 07.04.09 -07.05.09
The Hawthorne Caballeros celebrate
the 4th of July with our annual Independence Day Parades in Oradel and
Ridgefield Park, NJ. If you are looking for a great way to spend
the 4th, check out these local parades and wish the USA and grand Happy
Birthday!
On Sunday, July 5th, the Caballeros will rehearse in Goffle Brook Park
starting at 8:30am until 5pm. We are always in need of support
help. If you can drive a truck (no CDL required), help with
uniforms, or lunch or are looking for a fun way to get involved in drum
corps, contact Mike Ryan at

Who are
the Cabs?
The
Hawthorne Caballeros, sponsored by American Legion Post #199 in
Hawthorne, are in their 63rd season of competition and have
amassed a remarkable host of records.
 They
have won the DCA World Championship 9 times, the American Legion
National Title 16 times, the National Dream Contest 17
times, and the New Jersey State American Legion Title 43 times.
They have completed 5 undefeated seasons, consecutively in 1984
and 1985. They have placed in the top 3 placements at the DCA World
Championship
31 times in 43 appearances, a clear indicator of the
Caballeros consistency for excellence on the drum corps field. In 1989,
during DCA's 25th Anniversary season, fans voted the Caballeros their
favorite Senior Drum and Bugle Corps of all time.
