Caballeros Alumni Unveil New Color Guard Uniform
2008 Color Guard Prototype
At a recent practice the corps was presented with a prototype of the new uniform the flag and rifle lines will be wearing starting the 2008 season.  While still keeping the traditional look and color scheme of the original uniform, the new uniform will be more tailored to compliment the female form, something the original uniform was never intended to do.  The standard sombrero and white uniform blouse will remain, with the addition of a black bolero with silver trim and black gauchos.

The corps is very excited about the upcoming season as it looks to top the power-packed show of last year.  There are still positions available in both the flag line as well as the newly developed rifle line.  So, if you've been getting the urge to get back on the field and relive some great memories, there's no time like the present to make it happen.

The corps' next rehearsal for all sections is Sunday April 6th from 10am to 5pm at American Legion Post 199 in Hawthorne.  Come down and join the excitement!

Organized in 1994, the Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps is now in its 15th season.   Representing American Legion Post 199 of Hawthorne, New Jersey, the Alumni Corps celebrates an earlier era and the proud tradition of one of the all-time great senior corps, the world-famous Hawthorne Caballeros.   The Alumni Corps is staffed by many of those who "were there" when those fifteen American Legion National Championships and the eight DCA World Championships were won.
