The Hawthorne Caballeros are excited and pleased to announce their 2009 competing program with the presentation of Ritmos de Pasion” - the “Rhythms of Passion”. “Ritmos de Pasion” will incorporate a full ensemble portrayal of the rhythms of the show with selections that will entertain the crowds and fans of DCA with the fiery heat of the Pasodoble, the cool sensuality of the Bolero, the excitement of Bembe, the captivation of the Fandango and the sheer joy of the Salsa.

To begin, the Pasodoble - the music traditionally used to announce the matador into the ring. The Caballeros will announce their presence on the 2009 field of competition with the signature selections of Espana Cani and Amparito Roca by composers Pascual Marquina Narro and Jaime Teixidor. This fiery and fast paced opener will set the stage this season with no doubt that 2009 Caballeros are hot hot hot!

The Caballeros will then turn to the more seductive and sinuous pulses of the Bolero with their rendition of Time to Say Goodbye. Originally titled Con te partiro by composers Francesco Sartori and Lucio Quarantotto and sung by superstars Andrea Bocceli and Sarah Brightman, this movement will tug at the heart…and soul.

The Caballeros 2009 Percussion Feature will explode with the rhythms of El Diablo Rojo! - an original composition by Gary Gill and Dennis Argul. Presenting a combination of the folkloric rhythms of Afro-Cuban Bembe and Fandango of Spain, El Diablo Rojo will leave the audience breathless and holding onto their seats.

For the finale, the Caballeros will perform the flirtatious and joyous show-stopping Salsa - A Mis Abuelos. Composed by trumpet sensation Arturo Sandoval, the Caballeros will get the fans out of their seat, on their feet and dancing to “Ritmos de Pasion”.
